A.C.E. Curriculum

The A.C.E. This program offers you an academic curriculum that includes skill building, goal setting, reading practice, and character building—all with strong Biblical integration! This complete package begins with reading development courses and progresses with the core curriculum.

A.C.E.'s self-instructional PACEs (Packets of Accelerated Christian Education) allow your students to learn with minimal supervision. Each core subject consists of 12 PACEs per level. However, students are not locked-stepped by these levels. Students who are more skilled may accelerate in their areas of academic strength, while those who find the material more challenging may take as long as necessary to complete it. Each student, while working at his own level of proficiency, will master the material.

Each student will begin by taking a Diagnostic Test to evaluate your students' academic needs in each subject. The test helps identify academic weaknesses and prescribes a path forward that meets and challenges each student at his performance level.

With a traditional educational philosophy centered on the Word of God, A.C.E. has structured a highly adaptable school format that works for both small and large student bodies. The Learning Center concept allows students in multiple levels to learn in the same room, similar to the colonial one-room schoolhouse. With “supervisors” replacing the role of teachers, students can learn at their own pace with individual, one-on-one assistance. Students learn to take responsibility for their own learning rather than having information spoon-fed through the filter of a teacher.

Regarding costs, A.C.E. presents one of the most cost-effective educational programs on the market today. Not only can schools using the A.C.E. system operate on an affordable budget, they can do so with minimal staffing. Only a few supervisors and monitors are needed in Learning Centers—each of which can cover several learning levels.

A.C.E. contains a system of learning, a Biblical self-instructional curriculum, educators' conventions, and ministry opportunities for students. Separate training opportunities assist pastors, administrators, supervisors, monitors, and other school staff.

A.C.E. was founded in 1970

What Is a PACE?

PACE is an acronym that stands for Packet of Accelerated Christian Education. A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® has taken the conventional-style textbook and divided it into bite-sized, achievable booklets called PACEs. Each level consists of 12 PACEs per subject. PACEs integrate Godly character-building lessons into the academic content, and activities are carefully designed to develop thinking skills and create mastery learning.

A.C.E. provides an unparalleled system of individualized learning through PACEs. With minimal assistance, PACEs allow your students to absorb subject material according to their own learning ability rather than being pushed forward or held back by age. For example, a student placed in the fifth grade by a conventional school may be working in Level 4 math, Level 5 science, and Level 5 English in the A.C.E. program. Students may move ahead easily in some PACEs and proceed slower in others.Beginning Reading Programs for Young ChildrenAssessing when a young child is ready to read is critical to his achievement as a student. The A.C.E. system has two reading programs designed to meet your child's needs at the appropriate time.

Kindergarten with Ace and Christi

This full-year kindergarten program is based on a complete scope and sequence of concepts and skills needed to prepare a child to read. The program is designed for children who do not pass both parts of the ABCs with Ace and Christi Pretest. Sixty PACEs (2,000 pages) filled with Bible and animal pictures, coordination development activities, and full-color picture stories encourage a child to want to read. The student will also learn social skills, the wonders of God’s world, and the reality of God’s love.

ABCs with Ace and Christi

This full-year Level 1 program is designed for those who have not been to school or who do not yet know how to read. To begin this program, the student must pass both parts of the Pretest. In the first 12–15 weeks, the ABCs with Ace and Christi program will prepare children for the individualized instruction of the PACE curriculum. The lively and entertaining phonics-based program features cartoon characters, songs, poems, displays, and character-building activities.Bible ReadingThe A.C.E.

Bible Reading

curriculum reinforces reading skills with Scripture selections for Levels 2–6. (In Level 1, the instructor reads to the students.) Readings demonstrate Christian principles and complement character-building activities. Various character traits are emphasized.

Readmaster

Readmaster®

challenges students to read better, faster, and with more confidence. Through this program, students are introduced to vocabulary words on their reading level, read engaging stories at an automated speed, and answer questions for comprehension. Readmaster is available exclusively through aceconnect.

Videophonics

The Videophonics literacy course is designed for English-speaking students ages 9 through adult. Videophonics is completed through free online videos and their corresponding Videophonics workbooks.
